About Me

My practice is geared towards assisting clients in overcoming life's adversities and living a healthy life. I have worked as a psychotherapist for the past 10 years with children, youth and adults. I have worked with families, probation youth and adults, LGBT community, individuals impacted by HIV/ AIDS and substance abuse. 

During the past 9 years I have supervised substance abuse counselors and peer counselors. Participated as a co-facilitator for research groups based on medical distrust impacting medication adherence for people living with HIV/AIDS as well as a focus group for the Department of Justice on mistrust in the legal system by transgender women. I have conducted presentations for USC medical students, Kaiser fellows, and community organizations on topics of LGBT issues, depression, trauma and substance abuse.
